TOWN COUNCIL/PARKING AUTHORITY/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
The Town Council/Parking Authority/Redevelopment Agency of the Town of Los Gatos
met in the Council Chambers of the Town Hall, 110 East Main Street, at 6:01 P.M.,
Monday, January 31, 2000, in joint regular session.
ATTENDANCE
Present:Mayor/Chairman Steve Blanton (arrived at 6:04 p.m.),
Councilmembers: Randy Attaway, Jan Hutchins, Linda Lubeck and Joe
Pirzynski.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Given by all in attendance.
CLOSED SESSION
Town Attorney, Orry Korb, reported that Council had met in Closed Session prior to this
evening’s meeting pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a), to conference with
legal counsel regarding Existing Litigation on the matter of Town of Los Gatos, et al. vs.
TCI, AT&T, etc., et al. Council gave direction. There was no reportable action taken.
VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS
New Library Construction:
Sarah Hedayati, 100 Central Court, 6th grade student asked for a new Library.
Ashley Kita, 940 Cherrystone Drive, 5th grade student, asked for a new library.
Kathie Gaylord, 111 Calfhill Court, Friends of the Library representative, submitted 245 signatures
of residents interested in a new library, and a letter from Tessa Cote, 128 Harding Ave, High School
student in support of new library.
DOWNTOWN PARKING IMPROVEMENTS/GORDON H. CHONG (01.40)
Mayor/Chairman Blanton stated that this was the time and place duly noted to consider
selecting design scheme for Parking Lot 6.
Council Consensus to choose Scheme A with one level at grade and two levels below
grade. Mr. Hutchins noted that he was opposed to two levels down and preferred one
level down and one level at grade. Staff will request that Chong draw up the final plans and
designs as required by their contract. The next steps would be to request proposals for engineering
blueprints.

Motion by Mr. Attaway, seconded by Mr. Pirzynski, to adjourn the meeting at 6:48 p.m.
