ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
REQUIRING THE COUNCIL TO DESIGNATE A PERSON TO
TAPE RECORD CLOSED SESSIONS, AND DIRECTING
THE TOWN CLERK TO KEEP THE TAPES AS CONFIDENTIAL
RECORDS.
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.
Section 2 -3.2 is added to the Town Code to read as
follows:
SEC. 2 -3.2. MINUTES OF CLOSED SESSIONS.
When the Town Council holds a closed session, it shall
designate the Town Manager, the Assistant Town Manager, the
Acting Town Manager, or any other qualified employee of the
Town to tape record the session, as provided in Goverment
Code §54957.2. The tapes shall be retained by the Town
Clerk as confidential records, as also provided in §54957.2.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos on October 5,
1981, and adopted by the following vote at a regular meet-
ing of the Town Council on October 26, 1981
