AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AMENDING THE TOWN CODE CONCERNING
PERMIT EXPIRATION
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.
Section 7.01.145 of the Town Code of the Town of Los Gatos is amended
to read:
SECTION 2.
Sec. 7.01.145. Permits, Expiration
Every Permit issued by the Building Official expires by limitation and
becomes void if either the work authorized by such permit is not commenced
within 180 days from the date the permit is issued, or the work authorized
by the permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after it is commenced
for a period of 180 days. When a permit has expired under the terms of this
section, work shall not be begun or commenced until a new permit is
obtained. The fee for such new permit is half that for a new permit for
such work, if no changes are made in the original plans and specifications,
and if the delay, suspension or abandonment has not exceeded one year.
EXCEPTION:
Provision for half fee for new Permit shall not apply when fee refunds
has been made as provided in Section 7.01.165b.
This ordinance takes effect 30 days after the date it is adopted. Within
15 days after this ordinance is adopted the Town Clerk shall cause it to be
published once in a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated
in the Town.
The foregoing ordinance was duly and regularly introduced at a regular
meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos held on the 20th day of
July , 1981.
