RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
INDICATING INTENT TO ESTABLISH A NATIONAL REGISTER
HISTORIC DISTRICT IN THE DOWNTOWN COMMERCIAL AREA
WHEREAS, the Town's Historic consultant has presented a proposed district as
shown on the attached map to this Council, and the State Office of Historic Preservation
has approved of the district as proposed; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council agrees that proceedings should commence to
designate the district as defined in Exhibit A in accordance with Section 4.86.050 of the
Zoning Ordinance, and an application will be submitted to the State Office of Historic
Preservation.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, in accordance
with Section 4.86.060 of the Zoning Ordinance, hereby initiates the proceedings for the
designation of the district shown on the attached map as historic or culturally significant.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that any applications to alter, demolish, or removed any of
the structures in the district must be processed as required in Section 4.86.200 of the
Zoning Ordinance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos this 17th day of December, 1990 by the following vote:
