A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
COMMENDING POLICE SERGEANT ROGER L. MCLEAN
FOR EXEMPLARY SERVICE TO THE TOWN
WHEREAS, ROGER L. MCLEAN, since September 10, 1962, served the Town of
Los Gatos as a Police Patrolman (1962 -1973) and Police Sergeant since 1973; and
WHEREAS, he has served as a Patrol Officer, Motorcycle Traffic Officer,
Patrol and Investigations Supervisor, Traffic Coordinator, Police Reserve
Coordinator and has been Department Rangemaster since 1967, and has fulfilled
the requirements of these positions faithfully and well; and
WHEREAS, he has had 28 years of police driving without an accident; and
WHEREAS, during these years he has made many friends for the Los Gatos
Police Department and the Town through participation in community affairs and
service to the residents of the Town; and
WHEREAS, this dedication to the Town of Los Gatos for twenty -eight years
culminates with Roger's retirement on July 3, 1990;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Los Gatos Town Council that Sergeant
Roger L. McLean be commended for his many contributions to the Los Gatos Police
Department over the past twenty -eight years, and for his dedicated and loyal
service to the residents of the Town;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council does hereby extend to Roger
L. McLean its deepest appreciation for service faithfully and excellently
rendered, and its sincere hope that his retirement from the service of the Town
of Los Gatos is one of satisfaction and fulfillment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, California, held on the 18th day of JUNE, 1990, by the following
vote:
