RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION
FOR THE NON - ELECTED DUTIES
OF THE TOWN CLERK
WHEREAS, on November 8, 1988, Marian V. Cosgrove was elected to the
position of Town Clerk;
WHEREAS, on November 28, 1988 the election results were certified; and
WHEREAS, effective December 5, 1988, Marian V. Cosgrove assumed the duties
of the elected Town Clerk as described on Attachment A as "Elected Responsibilities of
Town Clerk'; and
WHEREAS, on December 19, 1988 the Town Council appointed Marian V.
Cosgrove to assume other appointed duties of the Town Clerk's Office as described on
Attachment A as 'Non- Elected Responsibilities of Town Clerk "; and
WHEREAS, Section 2 -10.1 of the Town Code provides that the Town Council
conduct an annual review of the performance and salary of the Town Clerk; and
WHEREAS, that same Town Code Section provides that the Council shall
establish compensation for the Town Clerk upon completion of the evaluation; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has completed that evaluation; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council sets the compensation for the elected duties
separately from the compensation for the non - elected duties of the Town Clerk.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the annual salary for the Town Clerk
effective February 18, 1990 is $15,000 for elected duties plus the additional amount of
$11,025 for non - elected duties and that the Town shall contribute seven percent (7 %) of
Clerk's total salary to the Public Employee's Retirement Systems (PERS) as the employee -
paid contribution, premium cost for coverage in the Town's health and dental plan, a
monthly car allowance of $75, and a vacation accrual equivalent to 6 days per calendar, sick
leave accrual equivalent to 5 days per calendar year, and personal leave equivalent to 16
hours per calendar year; and

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, this compensation shall remain in force through
June 30, 1990.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 16th day of April, 1990 by the following vote:
