A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT
AND A PORTION OF A GENERAL SERVICES EASEMENT
LOCATED AT 45 EAST MAIN STREET FOR PUBLIC EASEMENT PURPOSES
RESOLVED:
1. It is the intention of the Town Council to vacate, under the provisions of
Division 9, Part 3 (Sections 8300 through 8331) of the Streets and Highways Code, a
Sanitary Sewer Easement and a portion of a General Services Easement situated in the
Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, consisting of a strip
of land approximately 75 feet long containing approximately 354 square feet in the
General Service Easement and approximately 1,000 square feet, 10 foot wide Sanitary
Sewer Easement located across property located at 45 West Main Street (Conover), and
more particularly described in Exhibits "A" and "B" (Description of of a Sanitary
Sewer Easement and a Portion of a General Services Easement to be Abandoned
[Conover] by the Town of Los Gatos), and Exhibit "C" (Plat to Accompany Description
of Sanitary Sewer Easement and a Portion of a General Services Easement
Abandonment), copies of which are attached hereto. Said Exhibits show the
particulars as to the proposed abandonment, and are available for public inspection
in the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110 East
Main Street, Los Gatos, California.
2. Public utility easements shall be retained over the area to be abandoned.
3. On October 6, 1986, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 110 East
Main Street, Los Gatos, California, the Town Council will hold a public hearing to
consider whether or not the easement is necessary for present or prospective public
use. The meeting will begin at 7:30 P.M. All persons interested are invited to
attend and be heard.
4. The Town Clerk is authorized, and is hereby directed to publish a copy of
this resolution in a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in
the Town of Los Gatos, within ten (10) days after the date of its adoption.
5. The Mayor of the Town of Los Gatos is authorized, and is hereby directed to
execute that document entitled, "Notice of Abandonment of A Sanitary Sewer Easement
and a Portion of a General Services Easement ", a copy of which is attached hereto,
and the Town Engineer is authorized, and is hereby directed to conspicuously post
three (3) copies of said Notice, not more than 300 feet apart, on at least ten (10)
days before the date of the public hearing above designated.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos held on 2nd day of September 1986 by the following vote:

BEGINNING at a point that bears South 32° 17' 41" West 60.00 feet from
the common Northerly corner of Parcel "A" and Parcel "B" as shown on
"Parcel Map of the Lands of Louise B. and James D. Farwell ", as
recorded on February 1, 1985, in Book 539 of Maps on Page 5 by the
County of Santa Clara; thence South 32° 17' 41" West, along the joint
property line between Parcel "A" and Parcel "B ", 10.00 feet; thence
South 57" 55' 50" East 25.50 feet; thence South 410 04' 10" West, 4.16
feet; thence South 57° 55' 50" East, 10.13 feet; thence North 41° 04'

NOTICE OF ABANDONMENT OF
A SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT
AND A PORTION OF THE GENERAL SERVICES EASEMENT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on September 2, 1986, the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, adopted
Resolution No. 1986 -149 entitled, "A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A
SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT AND A PORTION OF A GENERAL SERVICES EASEMENT LOCATED AT
45 WEST MAIN STREET FOR PUBLIC EASEMENT PURPOSES ". A copy of said Resolution
No. 1986 -149, and a map entitled, "PLAT TO ACCOMPANY DESCRIPTION OF A SANITARY
SEWER EASEMENT AND A PORTION OF A GENERAL SERVICES EASEMENT ABANDONMENT ",
showing the particulars as to the proposed vacation are on file in the Office of
the Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110 East Main Street,
Los Gatos, California, and are available for inspection during regular business
hours.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on October 6, 1986, in the Council Chambers of
the Civic Center, 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos, California, the Town Council
will hold a public hearing on the question of whether or not the easement is
necessary for present or prospective public use. The Council meeting will begin
at 7:30 P.M. All persons interested are invited to attend and be heard.
