RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 1985 -86 SETTING
THE 1985 -86 APPROPRIATION LIMIT FOR REVENUE
GENERATED FROM "PROCEEDS OF TAXES"
WHEREAS, Article XIIIB, Section 1 of the constitution of the State of California
requires that total annual appropriations subject to limitations of the
Town of Los Gatos shall not exceed appropriations limit of the Town for
the prior year adjusted for changes in the cost of living and population
except as otherwise provided; and
WHEREAS, this article became effective July 1, 1980, as amended by SB1352 (Marks)
which requires the Town to establish its appropriations limit by
resolution each year at a regularly scheduled meeting or a noticed
special meeting, commencing after the beginning of each fiscal year;
and
WHEREAS, the appropriation base requires amendment to reflect a transfer of
financial responsibility from the county for Communications Dispatching,
and Crime Lab Fees of $533,799; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, that the appropriation limit of the
Town of Los Gatos for revenue generated by proceeds of taxes for fiscal
year 1985 -86 be amended to be $8,321,447.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, California, at
a regular meeting held on the 19th day of May, 1986, by the following vote:

Brent N. Ventura, and Mayor Terrence J. Daily
