A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF LOS GATOS APPROVING AN AMENDMENT
TO THE TOWN'S CLASSIFICATION PLAN.
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos has a Town Classification Plan, as
prescribed by Town Personnel Rule IV; and
WHEREAS, the Town desires to create the position of Parking Manager;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos, California, that the Town Classification Plan be amended to
create the position of Parking Manager (per copy of the job description
attached hereto).
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS,
CALIFORNIA, at a regular meeting held this

PARKING MANAGER
DEFINITION:
March 1985
The Parking Manager is in charge of the Parking Program and works under the
administrative direction of the Office of the Town Manager.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Implements the Town Parking Program as directed by the Town Manager.
- Provides staff support to the Parking Commission.
- Coordinates the work of consultants.
- Maintains communication with property and business owners regarding all aspects
of the parking program.
- Makes recommendations concerning the most efficient use of parking resources.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Graduation from a recognized college of university
with a major in civil engineering, transportation, planning, business, or
public administration or related field. A significant level of responsible
experience in a parking program or in transportation or traffic engineering or
planning program.
Knowledge of: Public financing, public works engineering, urban planning
concepts, administration and budget techniques and principles.
Ability to: Effectively perform administrative tasks, write clear and concise
reports, make presentations in a clear and concise manner, work effectively
with others.
