RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR
PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY ENERGY REBATE FUNDS
WHEREAS, the California Utilities Commission has authorized funding for a 1983
Energy Management Incentive Program, and
WHEREAS, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG &E) has allocated funds for Energy
Management Incentives which include upgrading of customer owned street and highway
lighting, and
WHEREAS, Conversion of street lighting owned by the Town of Los Gatos to more
energy efficient lighting qualifies for this incentive program and will result in
lower energy costs, and
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos authorized conversion of the
series wired incandescent street lighting in the downtown area (Street Light
Conversion - Phase III - Project 282) on April 4, 1983, and
WHEREAS, the conversion of those incandescent lights to high pressure sodium
vapor has been satisfactorily accomplished,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Los Gatos
authorizes its Manager to apply for rebate funds currently available through the
Pacific Gas and Electric Company Energy Management Incentives Program.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos held on 19th day of March 1984 by the
following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS Joanne Benjamin, Eric D. Carlson, Terrence J.
Daily, Brent N. Ventura and Mayor Thomas J. Ferrito
