A RESOLUTION INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS FERRIS AVENUE NO. 4 TO THE
TOWN OF LOS GATOS
RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara,
State of California that
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation to the Town of Los Gatos consisting of all that
unincorporated territory known as Ferris Avenue No. 4, located along Ferris Avenue
and Loma Street in the County of Santa Clara is proposed for annexation to the Town
of Los Gatos pursuant to Part 2 of Title 4, Division 2, commencing with Section
35000 et seq. of the Government Code; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the satisfaction of the Town Council that the owners of
land included in said proposal desire to annex to the Town of Los Gatos in order to
receive municipal services.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos of the County of Santa
Clara DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE and ORDER as follows:
1. The Town of Los Gatos is the conducting authority and hereby initiates
annexation proceedings pursuant to Section 35150.5 of the Government Code.
Proceedings of the Los Gatos Town Council will be held pursuant to Article
2 (commencing with Section 35220) of Chapter 3.
2. The territory proposed to be annexed is designed as Ferris Avenue No. 4
Annexation, and the boundaries are described in the real property
description and map attached hereto marked Exhibits "A" and "B.',
respectively.
3. The territory proposed to be annexed is uninhabited as defined by Section
35033 of the Government Code of the State of California.
4. The reason for the proposed annexation is to properly plan and provide
municipal services to the area which is already surrounded by the Town.
5. On April 16, 1984, at the ,Meeting of the Town Council beginning at 7:30
p.m., in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 110 East stain Street,
Los Gatos, California, a public hearing will be held during which the Town
Council will hear protests against the annexation.
6. Since the territory is uninhabited, law provides that any owner of land
within the territory may file a written protest against the annexation with
the Town Clerk at any time prior to conclusion of the Town Council's
hearing on the proposed annexation.
7. The Town Council has determined that the annexation is Categorically Exempt
from the provisions of CEQA, California Administrative Code Section
j #15319(a) and (b).
The Town Clerk is directed to cause notice of the hearing on the proposed
annexation to be given as provided in Section 35055 and 35223 of the Government
Code, and said notice shall include all the information specified in Section 35220
of the Government Code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos held on the 5 day of March ®, 1984, by the following vote:

All that certain property situated in the County of Santa Clara, State of
California described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwesterly corner of that certain annexation
to the Town of Los Gatos entitled "Englewood Avenue No. l";thence
along the line of said annexation North 200 40' East, 100 feet to
a point of intersection with the Southeasterly corner of that
certain annexation to the Town of Los Gatos entitled "Northeast
No. 8";thence along the line of said annexation Northwesterly
155' more or less to the Northeasterly corner of that certain
annexation to the Town of Los Gatos entitled "San Jose Avenue No.
2";thence along the line of said annexation South 20' 40' West,
100 feet to a point on the Northerly line of Ferris Avenue;thence
Easterly along said Northerly Tine 25' more or less to the
Southeasterly line of Ferris Avenue, 60' wide;thence along the
Southeasterly right-of-way line of said Ferris Avenue, 98' more
or less to a point of intersection with the Northerly
right-of-way line of Loma Street, 40 feet wide;thence Easterly 60
