A RESOLUTION INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS f4AGNESON AVENUE NO. 4 TO THE
TOWN OF LOS GATOS
On February 8, 1984 the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of Santa
Clara, State of California, pursuant to a petition signed by more than 5% of the
registered voters, and more than 5% of the number of landowners within the territory
to be annexed, approved the annexation of that hereinafter described area designated
as Magneson Avenue No. 4 to the Town of Los Gatos, and by LAFCO Resolution No. 84 -05
directed the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos to initiate proceedings to annex
said territory. This resolution has therefore been prepared in conformance with
Section 35220 of the Government Code of the State of California.
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS RESOLVES:
1. Sharon and Armand Turzo and others filed a petition for annexation of their
property to the Town of Los Gatos as authorized by Section 35110 of the Government
Code, and the Town of Los Gatos submitted same to the Local Agency Formation
Commission.
2. The territory proposed to be annexed is designated as Magneson Avenue No. 4
Annexation, and the boundaries are described in the real property description and
map attached hereto marked -Exhibit "A" and "B ", respectively.
3. The territory proposed to be annexed is inhabited as defined by Section
35038 of the Government Code of the State of California as determined by the Local
Agency Formation Commission in its Resolution No. 84 -06.
4. The reason for the proposed annexation, as set forth in the proposal
thereof submitted to the Local Agency Formation Commission is to properly plan and
provide municipal services to the area which is already surrounded by the Town.
5. The Local Agency Formation Commission's resolution of approval did riot
specify any special terms or conditions for the proposed annexation.
6. On April 2, 1984, at the meeting of the Town Council beginning at 7:30
p.m., in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos,
California, a public hearing will be field during whici the Town Council will hear
protests against the annexation.
7. Since the territory is inhabited, law provides that any owner of land
within the territory, or any registered voter residing within the territory, may
file a written protest against the annexation with the Town Clerk at any time prior
to conclusion of the Town Council's hearing on the proposed annexation.
The Town Clerk is directed to cause notice of the hearing on the proposed
annexation to be given as provided in Section 35055 of the Government code, and said
notice shall include all the information specified in Section 35220 of the
Government Code. The Town Clerk shall also give mailed notice of the hearing as
required by Section 35223 of the Government code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos held on the 21 day of February , 1584, by the following vote:

to the Town of Los Gatos, said point also being the most Northeasterly
corner of Magneson Avenue No. 1 annexation to the Town of Los Gatos;thence
along said Southerly line of Blossom Hill Road No. 9 Annexation, South 780
54' East, 100.00 feet to a point on said Southerly line, said point also
being the Most Northwesterly corner of Magneson Avenue No. 2
