A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 1983 -224
ESTABLISHING THE YOUTH ADVISORY COMMISSION
BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, that the
Town Council hereby amends section la (Membership)-to increase membership
to eleven (11) members for the special commission to be known as and called
the "Youth Advisory Commission." The amendment shall read as follows:
"l. Membership -- Organization
a. The Commission shall consist of eleven (11) members
appointed by the Town Council. The Town Council shall fill any vacancies
occurring during the term of the Commission. The Commission shall appoint
and prescribe the term of office for its Chairperson and Vice- Chairperson.
Two (2) members of the Commission shall be adults aged 19 or over. The other
nine (9) members of the Commission shall be not younger than twelve (12) years
old and not older than eighteen (18) years old at the time of their appointment.
The nine (9) youth members shall be enrolled at the time of their appointment
in public or private schools which serve Los Gatos residents; three (3) youth
members shall be enrolled at the junior high level (grades 7 -9), and six (6)
shall be enrolled at the senior high school level (grades 10 -12)."

A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING FEBRUARY 1984
HUMAN RELATIONS MONTH
WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara is enriched by a diverse multicultural,
multi- ethnic population; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos is committed to the respect for human rights
of all people and to positive human relationships between all the
residents of the Town and the world; as is the County; and
WHEREAS, the Human Relations Commission of Santa Clara County and Friends
of Human Relations Commission of Santa Clara County has been an
effective advocate for the human rights of all people and has
promoted peace and harmony in the community while providing
inspiration and leadership in this field;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos does hereby proclaim the month of February, 1984, as
HUMAN RELATIONS MONTH
in the Town of Los Gatos and calls upon members of this community to join
in the spirit and activities of this month; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council hereby commends the Human
Relations Commission, commissioners and staff for their commitment to the
human rights of all and for their untiring efforts for peace and harmony
in the community.
