RESOLUTION .NO. 1983 -187
A RESOLUTION REDESIGNATING HIGHWAY 17 TO PERMIT BROADER
USE OF FEDERAL HIGHWAY FUNDS
WHEREAS, State Route 17 is in serious need of resurfacing, restoration,
rehabilitation, and reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, present law prohibits the use of Interstate Rehabilitation (IR) Funds
for resurfacing, restoration, rehabilitation or reconstruction of sections of the
Interstate System classified as "non - chargeable mileage ":
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos
does and it hereby requests the Congress of the United States to adopt legislation
to allow for the use of IR Funds on "non - chargeable mileage" routes as designed in
Section 139(a), Title 23, U.S. Code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos held on 19th day of September 1933 by the fol-
lowing vote:
