A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PUBLIC
THOROUGHFARE DEDICATION (622 UNIVERSITY AVENUE)
FOR PUBLIC ROAD PURPOSES.
RESOLVED:
1. It is the intention of the Town Council to vacate,
under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3 (Sections 8300
through 8331) of the Streets and Highways Code, a public road
right -of -way situated in the Town of Los Gatos, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, consisting of a strip of
land dedicated to the Town of Los Gatos by Manuel and Mary
Correa at 622 University Avenue, (now owned by John B. Lochner),
and more particularly described in Exhibit "A" (Description
Of The Street Dedication To Be Abandoned (622 University
Avenue) by the Town of Los Gatos), and Exhibit "B" (Plat to
Accompany Description of Public Thoroughfare Abandonment),
copies of which are attached hereto. Said Exhibits show the
particulars as to the proposed abandonment, and are available
for public inspection in the Office of the Town Clerk of the
Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110 E. Main Street, Los Gatos,
California.
2. On July 6 1981, in the Council Chambers of the
Civic Center, 110 E. Main Street, Los Gatos, California, the
Town Council will hold a public hearing to consider whether or
not the easement is necessary for present or prospective public
use. The meeting will begin at 7:30 P.M. All persons interested
are invited to attend and be heard.
3. The Town Clerk is authorized, and is hereby directed
to publish.a copy of this resolution in the Los Gatos Times - Saratoga
Observer, a newspaper of general circulation, published and
circulated in the Town of Los Gatos, within fifteen (15) days
after the date of its adoption.
4. The Mayor of the Town of Los Gatos is authorized, and
is hereby directed to execute that document entitled, "Notice
of Street Dedication Abandonment ", a copy of which is attached
hereto, and the Director of Public Works is authorized, and is
hereby directed to conspicuously post three (3) copies of said
Notice, not more than 300 feet apart, on at least ten (10)
days before the date of the public hearing above designated.

Council of the Town of Los Gatos held on the Ist day of

DESCRIPTION OF THE PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE DEDICATION
BE ABANDONED (622 UNIVERSITY AVENUE) BY THE TOWN
OF LOS GATOS
That parcel of land in the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa
Clara, State of California described as follows:
Commencing at a point in the Southeasterly line of University
Avenue, as the same now exists 60 feet wide, distant North
200 45' East 251.00 feet from the point of intersection of
said line of University Avenue with the Northeasterly line
of Roberts Road formerly Cypress Avenue to the point of
beginning; thence along said line of University Avenue North
200 45' East 98.76 feet to the most Westerly corner of the
parcel of land conveyed by Lester Start, et ux, to Mariano P.
DeLuca, et ux, by Deed dated February 11, 1949 and recorded
February 16, 1949 in Book 1746 of Official Records, page 317,
Santa Clara County Records; thence along the Southwesterly
line thereof South 680 East 10 feet, more or less, to the
point of intersection with a line that lies parallel with
and 40 feet distant, measured Easterly at right angles from
the centerline of University Avenue, as the same now exists
60 feet wide; thence along said parallel line South 200 45'
West 98.54 feet, more or less, to the point of intersection
with the Northeasterly line of that tract of land conveyed
by Harry R. Lord, et ux, to John W. Fields, et ux, by Deed
recorded October 31, 1924 in Book 118 of Official Records,
page 27; thence along the Northeasterly line of said land so
conveyed to Fields, North 690 15' West 10 feet, more or less,
to the point of beginning.
Containing an area of 986 square feet of land, more or less.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 1st , 1981, the Town
Council of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of
California, adopted Resolution No. 1981-124 entitled, "A RESOLUTION
OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE DEDICATION FOR PUBLIC
ROAD PURPOSES ", located along the southeasterly side of University
Avenue (622 University Avenue). A copy of said Resolution
No. 1981 -124 , and a map entitled, "PLAT TO ACCOMPANY DESCRIPTION
OF PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE ABANDONMENT ", showing the particulars as to
the proposed vacation are on file in the Office of the Town Clerk
of the Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110 E. Main Street, Los
Gatos, California, and are available for inspection during regular
business hours.
