A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A
STREET DEDICATION WITHIN THE LANDS OF
BECTON - DICKINSON FOR PUBLIC ROAD PURPOSES.
RESOLVED:
1. It is the intention of the Town Council to vacate, under the
provisions of Division 9, Part 3 (Sections 8300 through 8331) of the
Streets and Highways Code, a public road right -of -way situated in the
Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, consisting
of a strip of land dedicated to the Town of Los Gatos by Plastomeric
Products Corporation (now Becton - Dickinson), and more particularly
described in Exhibit "A" (Description Of The Street Dedication To Be
Abandoned (Becton - Dickinson) by the Town of Los Gatos), and Exhibit "B"
(Plat to Accompany Description of Street Dedication Abandonment), copies
of which are attached hereto. Said Exhibits show the particulars as to
the proposed abandonment, and are available for public inspection in
the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center,
110 E. Main Street, Los Gatos, California.
2. On June 15 — _, 1981, in the Council Chambers of the Civic
Center, 110 E. Main Street, Los Gatos, California, the Town Council will
hold a public hearing to consider whether or not the easement is
necessary for present or prospective public use. The meeting will begin at
7:30 P.M. All persons interested are invited to attend and be heard.
3. The Town Clerk is authorized, and is hereby directed to publish
a copy of this resolution in the Los Gatos Times - Saratoga Observer, a
newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the Town

of Los Gatos, within fifteen (15) days after the date of its adoption.
4. The Mayor of the Town of Los Gatos is authorized, and is hereby
directed to execute that document entitled, "Notice of Street Dedication
Abandonment ", a copy of which is attached hereto, and the Director of
Public Works is authorized, and is hereby directed to conspicuously
post three (3) copies of said Notice, not more than 300 feet apart, on
at least ten (10) days before the date of the public hearing above
designated.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council
of the Town of Los Gatos held on the 18th day of May
1981, by the following vote:

BE ABANDONED (BECTON - DICKINSON) BY THE
TOWN OF LOS GATOS.
That parcel of land in the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa
Clara, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwesterly corner of that certain 9.075,
more or less, acre parcel designated Parcel "A" as shown on
the map entitled, "Record of Survey of a Portion of "W. J.
Parr Tract for Plastomeric Products, Los Gatos, Calif. ", which
map was recorded September 23, 1963 in Book 167 of Maps at
Page 10 in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of
Santa Clara, State of California; thence running along the
Northerly line of said Parcel "A" South 80 °24'30" East 71.18
feet to a point in a line which lies parallel with and 66 feet
Easterly measured at right angles from the Southeasterly line
of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company Right of Way as shown
on said map; thence along, said parallel line, South 31 °35'30"
West 241.66 feet to the point of beginning of a tangent curve
to the right of Radius 66 feet; thence along said curve to the
right of Radius 66 feet, through a central angle of 89 °52'42"
an arc length of 103.53 feet to the point of intersection with
the Southeasterly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company
Right of Way; thence Northeasterly from a tangent which bears,
North 31 °23'20" East along said Southeasterly line on the are
of a curve to the right of Radius 5705 feet, through a central
angle of 0 °24'20" an arc length of 40.38 feet; thence tangent
to the last named curve, North 31 °35'30" East 240.61 feet to
the point of beginning and being a portion of said Parcel "A ".

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on May 18th , 1981, the Town
Council of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of
California, adopted Resolution No. 1981 -113 entitled, "A RESOLUTION
OF INTENTION TO VACATE A STREET DEDICATION WITHIN THE LANDS OF
BECTON - DICKINSON FOR PUBLIC ROAD PURPOSES ", located along the
northwesterly side of the property near Winchester Boulevard adjacent
to the Southern Pacific Transportation Company railroad tracks. A
copy of said Resolution No. 1981 -113 , and a map entitled, "PLAT TO
ACCOMPANY DESCRIPTION OF STREET DEDICATION ABANDONMENT ", showing the
particulars as to the proposed vacation are on file in the Office of
the Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110 E. Main
Street, Los Gatos, California, and are available for inspection during
regular business hours.
