A RESOLUTION APPROVING RATE INCREASES
REQUESTED BY GREEN VALLEY DISPOSAL
COMPANY.
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos has contracted with the Green Valley
Disposal Company for the collection of garbage and rubbish
in Town, pursuant to Section 14 -2 of the Town Code; and
WHEREAS, Section 14 -5 of the Town Code provides that the Town Council
shall determine from time to time the charge to be made to
Town residents for the collection of garbage and rubbish; and
WHEREAS, Green Valley Disposal Company has requested the Town Council
to increase charges for garbage and refuse collection service
in the Town of Los Gatos; and
WHEREAS, Council has found that the increase requested by Green Valley
Disposal Company is both reasonable and necessary for the
company to maintain efficient and effective operations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos hereby grants the increased rates to residential customers
and commercial customers requested by Green Valley Disposal
Company in the attached correspondence; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT this resolution will become effective on the
later of either of the following dates: March 1, 1981, or at
such time that the city councils of the cities of Monte Sereno,
Campbell, and Saratoga all similarly approve the requested rate
increase from Green Valley Disposal Company.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos at a
regular meeting held this 17th day of
