RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWNS APPLICATION
FOR LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION AND RENOVATION BOND ACT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos identified the need for a new library and
began planning for it in 1983, and
WHEREAS, the voters of the State of California passed the Library
Construction and Renovation Bond Act in 1988, and
WHEREAS, the State has promulgated and adopted regulations which provide
for application for funds from this bond act, and
WHEREAS, one requirement for application is the certification of the
Town's intent to meet certain requirements, and
WHEREAS, the Town wishes to apply for Bond Act funds,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council certifies the
following:
1. Its commitment to the project budget contained in the
application.
2. Its commitment to provide the necessary 35% matching funds for
the project.
3. Its ability to finance the supplemental funds necessary to
complete the project in a timely manner.
4. The availability of local matching and supplemental funds to
meet the project's cash flow requirements.
5. The accuracy and truthfulness of all information contained in
the application form.
6. Its commitment to operate the completed facility and provide
direct public library service.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, California held on the llth day of February, 1991 by the following
vote:
