RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
ADOPTING FEES FOR ZONING,
CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT
AND SUBDIVISION PROCEEDINGS
AND FOR VARIOUS PLANNING SERVICES
RESOLVED, the Planning Director shall charge fees for Zoning, California
Environmental Quality Act and Subdivision Proceedings and for various Planning Services
and for other services according to the schedule of fees as shown on Exhibit A.
FURTHER RESOLVED, this Resolution supersedes Resolution No. 1990-69.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos held on the 4th day of February 1991, by the following vote:

PLANNING DEPARTMENT
FEE RESOLUTION
1. Zoning Approvals.
The following fee schedule is established for applications filed pursuant to the Zoning Ordinance. The fees
are collected by the Planning Department.
A. ARCHITECTURE AND SITE APPLICATIONS *
1) New single family detached (HR & RC zone) $2,875.00
2) New single family or two family units 2,070.00
3) New nonresidential or expansion over 50%
floor area of existing nonresidential 2,645.00
4) New multiple family 2,530.00
5) All other 1,840.00
6) Modification to approved application 75% of current fee
7) Minor Projects (DRC approval) 300.00
* There shall be no filing fee for any Architecture & Site Approval application in an historic district
which would not require Architecture & Site approval 11 located outside a historic district.
B. CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS
1) Conditional Use Permit 2,415.00
2) Conditional Use Permit (when consolidated
with another application for new development) 300.00
3) Conditional Use Permit for restaurant **
Tier One 1,208.00

4) Modification to approved application 75% of current fee
** Conditional Use Permits for restaurants shall be accompanied by a fee applicable to Tier One if the
Restaurant Conditional Use Permit checklist has all questions answered "NO". If "YES" is answered
to any question on the Checklist, the Tier Two fee will be applicable.

** The $750 is a deposit. If the actual cost of the consultant's study is less than $750 the difference will
be refunded to the applicant. If the cost is greater than $750 due to special studies that may be
necessary, the specific study and its cost will be determined before the study is authorized and an
additional deposit will be required before the additional study is commenced.
F. IMPACT MONITORING PROGRAM (AB3180)* 50.00 PER HOUR"
***This fee will be assessed upon completion of the environmental review process and will be due prior
to any permits or entitlements being granted to begin work.

5. PAYMENT OF APPLICATION FEES
All application fees are to be paid at the time the applications are submitted to the Planning Department.
If the applicant withdraws the application prior to processing the application to a Planning Commission
hearing, 40% of the paid application fee shall be refunded to the applicant at the discretion of the
Planning Director. All other fees are nonrefundable.
