RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
DESIGNATING AN AGENT TO FILE APPLICATION TO THE OFFICE OF
EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR STATE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE UNDER THE
STATE NATURAL DISASTER ASSISTANCE ACT (NDAA)
WHEREAS, on January 11, 1991, Governor Wilson proclaimed the existence
of a state of emergency in the County of Santa Clara, as a result of the extreme cold
beginning on December 19, 1990; and,
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos has incurred damages as a result of the
extreme cold beginning on December 19, 1990; and,
WHEREAS, the Town Council is desirous of obtaining any financial aid and
assistance available under the Natural Disaster Assistance Act.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS
GATOS that David W. Knapp, Town Manager or Michele Braucht, Finance Manager, is
hereby authorized to execute for and in behalf of the Town of Los Gatos, a public entity
established under the laws of the State of California, this application and to file it in the
Office of Emergency Services for the purpose of obtaining certainstate financial assistance
under the Natural Disaster Assistance Act.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town of Los Gatos, a public entity
established under the laws of the State of California, hereby authorizes its agent to provide
to the State Office of Emergency Services for all matters pertaining to such state disaster
assistance the asssurances and agreements required.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 4th day of February, 1991 by the following vote.
