RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
COMMENDING TOWN ATTORNEY MARY JO LEVINGER
FOR EXEMPLARY SERVICE TO THE TOWN
WHEREAS, the Town Council appointed MARY JO LEVINGER, Town
Attorney of the Town of Los Gatos on October 17, 1983; and
WHEREAS, since that time MARY JO has devoted countless hours of personal
dedication to ensure that the Town's government has delivered responsive, quality services
to the community; and
WHEREAS, MARY JO'S professional style has developed an outstanding
working relationship with all Town staff; and
WHEREAS, MARY JO can be particularly proud that her efforts in dealing
with complex legal issues have served the Town exceptionally well; and
WHEREAS, MARY JO was proactive in presenting educational information
to other members of her profession, including but not limited to presentation of papers to
the League of California Cities and Continuing Education of the Bar; and
WHEREAS, MARY JO'S knowledge of the law was especially well demonstrated
in her role as Town Attorney during the moments and months following the October 17,1
989 Loma Prieta Earthquake; and
WHEREAS, MARY JO'S creative and enthusiastic yet ever professional
approach to her job will be sadly missed by all; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that it is with deep appreciation that
the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos hereby renders its thanks to MARY JO
LEVINGER for her contributions to the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos and
Town staff during her tenure as Town Attorney.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 7th day of January, 1991 by the following vote:
