1991-049-Authorizing The Chief Of Police To Enter Into A Hold Harmless Agreement With The County Of Santa Clara Regarding Release Of Confidential Mental Health InformationRESOLUTION 1991-49 RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO ENTER INTO A HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA REGARDING RELEASE OF CONFIDENTIAL MENTAL HEALTH INFORMATION WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara Bureau of Mental Health Services and the Police Department of the Town of Los Gatos have established policies and procedures for the release of confidential mental health information for the purpose of defusing hostage or potential suicide crisis situations; and WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara has requested a hold harmless agreement from the Town of Los Gatos covering the acts and omissions of its Police Department in connection with the above -mentioned procedures. NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Town of Los Gatos that the Police Chief of the Town of Los Gatos is authorized to enter into a hold harmless agreement, and to set up procedures for exchange of information between the Town and the County.
