RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WITH
BATTERY EXCHANGE AND ALVISO OIL
FOR SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH A
HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION EVENT
WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that it is in the best
interest of the residents of Los Gatos to provide a safe and
convenient means of disposing of household hazardous waste; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that a joint collection
program for the residents of Campbell,
Saratoga and neighboring unincorporated
to be more economical than
jurisdiction; and
Los Gatos, Monte Sereno,
Santa Clara County
areas
a collection program in each individual
WHEREAS, the five cities desire to schedule a household
hazardous waste collection date on March 30, 1991; and,
WHEREAS, Battery Exchange and Alviso Oil have been
selected to collect materials at the event for recycling; and
WHEREAS, the cost to each jurisdiction will be on a per
capita basis.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: that the Town Manager be
authorized to enter into agreements with Battery Exchange and
Alviso Oil for services in connection with a household hazardous
waste collection event.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town
Council of the Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 18th day
of March, 1991, by the following vote:
