RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
TO RESCIND RESOLUTION 2001 -106: RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS
GATOS AMENDING THE TOWN'S ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE POLICY
WHEREAS, the Town Council is responsible for establishing municipal policies that provide
clear direction for processes and procedures by which the Council and staff shall conduct business
and activities; and
WHEREAS, examples of these policies include the Town Code, Town Council Policies,
General Plan, Design Guidelines, and Specific Plans; and
WHEREAS, the many benefits of having established policies includes greater consistency
as well as more government transparency and accessibility by the public, the Council, and staff;
and
WHEREAS, on March 15, 2018, the Town Council Policy Committee reviewed the Town's
Alcoholic Beverage Policy (established by Resolution 2001 -106) and recommended rescission; and
WHEREAS, this Council Policy has been deemed outdated, redundant and /or incorporated
into other existing Council Policies, Town Ordinances, and State Laws.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos
does hereby rescind Resolution 2001 -106: Resolution of the Town of Los Gatos amending the
Town's Alcoholic Beverage Policy including Exhibit A, Policy Regulating the Consumption and
Service of Alcoholic Beverages.
