A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH TFP INC. FOR THE PURCHASE OF A DIGITAL IMAGE CAPTURE AND RETRIEVAL SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the TFP Image Capture and Retrieval System has been identified for purchase in the
current fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara Department of Corrections installed a new image capture
and retrieval system in January 1992 in a bid award for an image capture and retrieval system for the
bookings of arrested persons; and
WHEREAS, TFP Inc. was the successful bidder on this specific item and no other vendor produces
system that is compatible with Santa Clara County's digital image and capture system; and
WHEREAS, a compatible digital image and capture system with the Santa Clara County
Department of Corrections is needed to implement the Los Gatos Police Department's booking program;
and
WHEREAS, Town Code Section 2.50.130(b)(2) authorizes the purchase of a commodity when the
commodity can be obtained by only one (1) vendor or the purchase is to be made through a county or
other public agency bid process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos that
the Town Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with TFP Inc. for the purchase of a digital
image and capture system.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
California, held on the third day of January, 1994, by the following vote:
