A RESOLUTION INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOP. THE
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS OKA ROAD NO. 8 TO THE TOWN OF
LOS GATOS,
On February 7, 1979, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County
of Santa Clara, State of California, pursuant to a resolution of application
by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, approved the annexation of that
hereinafter described area designated as Oka Road No. 8 to the !'own of Los
Gatos, and by LAFCO Resolution No. 79 -20 directed the Town Council of
the Town of Los Gatos to initiate proceedings to annex said territory. This
resolution has therefore been prepared in conformance with Section 35220 of
the Government Code of the State of California.
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS RESOLVES:
1. The Town Council adopted a resolution of application for this
annexation by their Resolution No. 1978 -162 on October 16, 1978,
as authorized by Section 35140 of the Government Code, and submitted
same to the Local Agency Formation Commission.
2. The territory proposed to be annexed is designated as Oka Road No. 8
Annexation, and the boundaries are described in the real property
description and map attached hereto marked Exhibits "A" and "B ",
respectively.
3. The territory proposed to be annexed is uninhabited as defined by
Section 35038 of the Government Code of the State of California as
determined by the Local Agency Formation Commission in its
Resolution No. 79 -20.

4. The reason for the proposed annexation as set forth in the proposal
thereof submitted to the Local Agency Formation Commission is to
properly plan and provide municipal services to the area which is
already surrounded by the Town.
S. The Local Agency Formation Commission's resolution of approval did
not specify any special terms or conditions for the proposed
annexation.
6. On March 5, 1979, at the meeting of the Town Council beginning at
7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 110 E. Main
Street, Los Gatos, California, a public hearing will be held during
which the Town Council will hear protests against the annexation by
any person holding real property within the territory.
7. Since the territory is uninhabited, law provides that written protests
from registered voters (other than landowners) shall not be received.
8. Any owner of land within the territory proposed for annexation may
file a written protest against the annexation with the Town Clerk
at any time prior to the conclusion of the Town Council's hearing on
the proposed annexation.
The Town Clerk is directed to cause notice of the hearing on the
proposed annexation to be given as provided in Section 35055 of the Government
Code and said notice shall include all the information specified in Section
35220 of the Government Code. The Town Clerk shall also give mailed notice
of the hearing as required by Section 35223 of the Government Code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of .Los Gatos held on the 20th day of February 1979,

All that real property situate in the County of Santa Clara, State of
California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Westerly corner of Oka Road No. 6, Parcel 1, Annexation
to the Town of Los Gatos, said corner also lying on the Southeasterly
line of Lark Avenue No. 3 Annexation to the Town of Los Gatos, said line
also being the Southeasterly line of Oka Road, as same now exists; thence
along the Southwesterly line of said Oka Road No. 6, Parcel 1, Annexation
South 58 021' East 200.86 feet to the Southerly corner of last said
annexation, said corner also lying on the boundary of Northeast No. 5
Annexation to the Town of Los Gatos; thence along last said boundary
South 17 001140" West 78 feet, more or less, to an angle point in last
said boundary; thence along last said boundary Southeasterly 162 feet,
more or less, to a second angle point in last said boundary; thence along
last said boundary North 31 014140" East 81 feet, more or less, to the
Westerly corner of Oka Road No. 6, Parcel 2, Annexation to the Town of
Los Gatos; thence along the Southwesterly line of last said annexation
South 58 121' East 182.00 feet to the Southerly corner of last said
annexation, said corner also being on the Northwesterly line of Burton
Road No. 2 Annexation to the Town of Los Gatos; thence along last said
line Southwesterly 500 feet, more or less, to the intersection thereof
with the Northeasterly line of Lark Avenue No. 1 Annexation to the Town
of Los Gatos: thence along last said line Northwesterly 658 feet, more
or less, to said Southeasterly line of Lark Avenue No. 3 Annexation,
said line also being the Southeasterly line of said Oka Road; thence
along said Southeasterly line of last said annexation and along said
Southwesterly line of Oka Road Northeasterly 496 feet, more or less,
to the point of beginning.
Containing 6.66 acres, more or less.
