RESOLUTION 2014 -053 RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DECLARING THE ELECTION RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL ELECTION OF JUNE 3, 2014 WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters held a Gubernatorial Primary Election in the Town of Los Gatos on Tuesday, the P day of June, 2014, in accordance with the laws of the State of California governing the elections of General Law Cities; and, WHEREAS, Shannon Bushey, Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters, declared that at the Statewide Gubernatorial Primary Election held on June 3, 2014, and consolidated therewith, a Special Election was held in the TOWN OF LOS GATOS for the purpose of voting on one initiative measure in the Town of Los Gatos and; and, WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters canvassed the results of said Elections in accordance with applicable provisions of the California Elections Code of the State of California; and, WHEREAS, attached is the Certification of the Election (Exhibit A) as well as the Statement of Votes Cast and final official summary results (Exhibit B), which shows the whole number of votes cast in the Town, and WHEREAS, the total number of registered voters was 18,544 and the total number of ballots cast was 7,109, including absentee and write -in ballots. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that I, Shelley Neis, Clerk Administrator for the Town of Los Gatos, hereby certify the election of Measure A — Shall the Town's General Plan, General Plan Land Use Map, and Zoning Code and Map be amended and shall the Albright Specific Plan be adopted to provide land use rules for approximately 21.6 acres of land at 90 -160 Albright Way and 14600 Winchester Boulevard.
