ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 -61 OF THE TOWN CODE TO ADD
MEMBERS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND CONSULTANTS AS
EMPLOYEES COVERED BY CONFLICT OF INTEREST PROVISIONS
The Town Council of Los Gatos hereby ORDAINS:

Section 2 -61 of the Town Code is amended to read as follows:
" Sec. 2 -61 Designated employees
This section shall constitute the Appendix referred to in Section 2 of the
standardized code. The Council hereby finds that the following persons make or par-
ticipate in the making of decisions which may foreseeably have a material effect on
financial interests., and are therefore designated employees: all elected Town
officials, members of the Planning Comnission, the Town Attorney, the Town Manager,
the Assistant Town Manager, all Department Heads appointed by the Town Manager, and
any consultants hired by the Council; provided, that with respect to consultants the
Town Manager may determine in writing that a particular consultant, although a
"designated employee," is hired to perform a range of duties that are limited in
scope and thus is not required to comply with the disclosure requirements described
in this section. Such determination shall include a description of the consultant's
duties and, based upon that description, a statement of the extent of disclosure
requirements. A copy of any such determination shall be forwarded to the Town
Council. Nothing herein excuses any consultant frcm any other provision of this
Conflict of Interest Code."
SECTION 2.
This ordinance takes effect thirty (30) days after the date it is adopted.
Within fifteen (15) days after this ordinance is adopted, the Town Clerk shall cause
it to be published once in a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated
in the Town.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the Town Council of
the Town of Los Gatos on April 18, 1983 , and adopted by the following vote
as an ordinance of the Town of Los Gatos at a regular meeting of the Town. Council
on May 2, 1983
