ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS, KNOWN AS NORTHEAST NO. 17
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
1. The annexation of territory hereafter described and designated
"Northeast No. 17 Annexation" under the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939 comprising Government Code Sections 35300 -35326 is approved.
2. The property annexed to the Town of Los Gatos is more particularly
described in Exhibit "A attached and made a part by this reference.
3. The Town Clerk is directed to transmit a certified copy of this
Ordinance to the Secretary of State. The Clerk is also directed to file
a Statement of Change of Boundaries with the State Board of Equalization,
and the County Assessor of Santa Clara County, under Government Code
Sections 54900 - 54902, and to execute and file an affidavit of completion
with the County Recorder of Santa Clara County under Government Code
Section 34080.
4. Within 15 days after the passage of this ordinance, the Town Clerk
shall cause it to be published at least once in a newspaper of general
circulation published and circulated in the Town.
The foregoing ordinance was introduced at a meeting of the Town
Council of the Town of Los Gatos held on the 20th day of December , 1976,
and adopted at a meeting held on the 3rd day of January , 1977, by the
following vote:

All that real property situate in the Councy of Santa Clara, State
of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the centerline of the Los Gatos and Almaden
Road distant thereon South 78 West 373.22 feet from the point
of intersection of the centerline of said Los Gatos and Almaden Road
with the centerline of National Avenue as said Road and Avenue are
described in Deed to Hosea W. Swain and Gertrude L. Swain recorded
in Book 1147, Page 404 of Official Records of the County of Santa Clara;
thence North 12 West 20 feet to a point on the Northerly line
of said Los Gatos and Almaden Road, said point being the True Point
of Beginning of this description, said poiqp also being the South-
easterly corner of the parcel of land described in said deed to
Swain; thence along said Northerly line South 78 West 67 feet
to a point on said Northerly line, said point also being the South-
easterly corner of that parcel of land described in deed to Charles
Greenwood Skemp and recorded in Book 7979, Page 613 of Official Records
of Santa Clara County; thence continuing along said Northerly line of
Los Gatos and Almaden Road South 78 West 234.84 feet; thence

along the Westerly line of said Skemp parcel of land North 12
West 171.01 feet to the Southeasterly corner of "Northeast No. 16
