ORDINANCE NO. 1450
ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE CONCERNING
THE HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS.
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Section 4.10.050 of the Town of Los Gatos Zoning
Ordinance is amended to read: .
Sec. 4.10.050: Height Determination on Sloping Lots
Where the slope of a lot (measured in the general
direction of the lot lines) is greater than one foot
rise or fall in seven feet of horizontal distance from
the street elevation at the property line, building
height (section 2.00.240) is limited to a plane parallel
to the surface of the ground unaltered by grading
(including excavation) for the building in question. The
plane is at an elevation set by the rules of each zone.
SECTION 2.
Section 4.22.040 of the Town of Los Gatos Zoning
Ordinance is amended to read:
Sec. 4.22.040(1) Height (RC zone
The maximum height of any principal building is
30 feet. The height shall be measured as provided in
section 4.10.050 and is subject to the exception listed
in section 3.15.010.
SECTION 3.
Section 4.24.080 of the Town of Los Gatos Zoning
Ordinance is amended to read:
Sec. 4.24.080 Height (HR zone
The maximum height of any principal building is
30 feet. The height shall be measured as provided

in section 4.10..050 and is subject to the exception
listed in section 3.15.010.
SECTION 4.
Section 4.26.070 of the Town of Los Gatos Zoning
Ordinance is amended to read:
Sec. 4.26.070 Height (R -1 zone
The maximum height of any principal building is
30 feet. The height shall be measured as provided in
section 4.10.050 and is subject to the exception listed
in section 3 ®15.010.
SECTION 5.
Section 4.28.110 of the Town of Los Gatos Zoning
Ordinance is amended to read:
Sec. 4.28 ®110: Height (R -1M zone
The maximum height of any principal building is
30 feet. The height shall be measured as provided in
section 4.10.050 and is subject to the exception listed
in section 3.15.010.
SECTION 6.
Section 4.30 ®070,= of`..the.Town of Los Gatos Zoning
Ordinance is amended to read:
Sec. 4.30.070 Height (R -D zone)
The maximum height of any principal building is
30 feet. The height shall be measured as provided in
section 4.10.050 and is subject to the exception listed
in section 3.15.010.
SECTION 7.
Section 4.32.100 of the Town of Los Gatos Zoning
Ordinance is amended to read:

Sec. 4.32.100 Height (R -M zone
The maximum height of any principal building is
30 feet, except when the building has cellar parking
the maximum is 35 feet. The height shall be measured
as provided in section 4.10.050 and is subject to the
exception listed in section 3.15.010.
SECTION 8.
This ordinance takes effect 30 days after the date it is
adopted. Within 15 days after this ordinance is adopted the Town
Clerk shall cause it to be published once in a newspaper of general
circulation published and circulated in the Town. '
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the
Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos on Nov. 19th , 19
and adopted by the following vote as an ordinance of the Town of
Los Gatos at a: regular meeting of the Town Council on Dec. 3rd
