ORDINANCE AMENDING THE
RULES REQUIRING UNDERGROUNDING
OF ELECTRICAL WIRES
The Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos ordains:
SECTION 1
Section 32 -26 of the Los Gatos Town Code is amended
to read:
Section 32 -26 Exceptions
The provisions of section 32 -25 do not apply to:
(a) Any municipal equipment or facilities installed under
the supervision and to the satisfaction of the town engineer.
(b) Poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures
used for the transmission of electric energy at nominal vol-
tages in excess of 34,500 volts.
(c) Antennae, associated equipment and supporting structures
used by a utility for furnishing communication services.
(d) Equipment appurtenant to underground facilities, such as
surface - mounted transformers, pedestal- mounted terminal boxes
and meter cabinets, and concealed ducts.
(e) Temporary poles, overhead wires and associated overhead
structures used or to be used in conjunction with construction
projects.
(f) Existing poles, overhead wires and associated overhead
structures required to be moved to accommodate street improve-
ments.
(g) Emergency services installed and maintained for not more
than ten days.
(h) With reference to Section 32 -25(b) only, service lines
to remodeled one - family and two - family dwellings.
(i) Poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures
used or to be used in conjunction with agriculture and which
by their nature are not suitable for future use in non -agri-
cultural activities.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance takes effect 30 days after the date it
is adopted. Within 15 days afteri. ordinance is adopted
the Town Clerk shall cause it to be published once in a news-
paper of general circulation published and circulated in the Town.

of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos on April 16 ,
19 and adopted by the following vote as an ordinance
of the Town of Los Gatos at a regular meeting of the Town
Council on May 7 , 19 79
