ORDINANCE NO. 1797 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 16 OF THE TOWN CODE TO <br />AMEND SECTION 16.61 RELATING TO PLACEMENT AND MEANINGS <br />OF CURB MARKINGS FOR PARKING REGULATIONS TOWN WIDE <br />THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES HEREBY ORDAIN: <br />SECTION I <br />SECTION 16.61 OF THE TOWN CODE IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 16.61 Placement and meanings of curb markings for parking <br />regulations <br />(a) The Chief of Police is authorized, subject to the provisions and <br />limitations of this chapter, to place, and when required herein shall <br />place, the following curb markings to indicate parking or standing <br />regulations, and such curb markings shall have the meanings as herein set <br />forth. <br />(1) Red shall man no stopping, standing or parking as any time except as <br />permitted by the Vehicle Code of the state, and except that a bus may stop <br />in a red zone marked or signed as a bus zone. <br />(2) Yellow shall mean no stopping, standing or parking at any time be- <br />tween nine a.m. and six p.m. of any day except holidays for any purpose <br />other than the loading or unloading of passengers or materials, provided, <br />that the loading or unloading of passengers or materials; provided, that <br />the loading or unloading of passengers shall not consume more than three <br />minutes, the loading or unloading of materials more than thirty minutes. <br />(3) White shall mean no stopping, standing or parking at any time of any <br />day for any purpose other than loading or unloading of passengers, which <br />shall not exceed ten minutes. <br />(4) Green shall mean no stopping, standing or parking for longer than <br />thirty minutes at any time between the hours of eight a.m. and eight p.m. <br />seven days a week, including holidays. <br />
