ORDINANCE NO. 1774 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS ACCEPTING <br />THE PENAL CODE REQUIREMENT RELATING TO THE <br />SELECTION AND TRAINING STANDARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY <br />DISPATCHERS <br />Section 1. The Town of Los Gatos declares that it desires to <br />qualify to receive aid from the State of California under the provisions of <br />Section 13522, Chapter 1, of Title 4, Part 4, of the California Penal Code. <br />Section 2. Pursuant to Section 13510(c), Chapter 1, the Los Gatos <br />Police Department will adhere to standards for recruitment and training <br />established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and <br />Training (POST). <br />Section 3. Pursuant to Section 13512, Chapter 1, the Commission <br />and its representatives may make such inquiries as deemed appropriate by the <br />Commission to ascertain that the Los Gatos Police Department's public safety <br />dispatcher personnel adhere to standards for selection and training established <br />by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training. <br />This ordinance takes effect 30 days after the date it is adopted. <br />Within 15 days after this ordinance is adopted the Town Clerk shall cause it to <br />be published once in a newspaper of general circulation published and <br />circulated in the Town. <br />This ordinance was introduced at a regular <br />meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los atos on November 21 , <br />1988 and adopted by the following vote as an ordinance of the Town of Los G atos <br />at a regular meeting of the Town Council on December 5 , 1988. <br />AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS Eric D. Carlson, Thomas J. Ferrito, <br />Robert L. Hamilton and Mayor Joanne Benjamin <br />NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS None <br />ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS Brent N.
