ORDINANCE N0: 1764 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AMENDING SECTION 2 -29 OF ARTICLE IV <br />OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE TOWN CODE TO CHANGE THE TERM OF OFFICE FOR STUDENT PARK <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />SECTION 1 <br />Section 2 -29 of the Town Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Section 2.29. Appointment, terms of office and compensation of members. <br />The park commission shall consist of nine members, all of whom shall <br />reside within the town, and shall be appointed by the town council. The <br />members shall serve without compensation, but all necessary expenses • <br />incurred by them while acting in their official capacities shall be paid <br />by appropriate action of the town council. <br />Two members of the commission shall, at the time of their appointment, <br />have completed the ninth grade, shall be students enrolled in an <br />accredited school and shall be no more than eighteen years old. <br />The commission shall, by resolution, adopt a procedure regulating the <br />recruitment of applicants for the positions and the method by which it <br />will choose those candidates recommended for appointment. The terms of <br />office of the student members shall be one year, commencing November 1 <br />and ending October 31; provided, that the present terms of office begun <br />February 1, 1988 shall end January 31, 1989 and the next following terms <br />shall commence February 1, 1989 and end October 31, 1989• <br />
