ORDINANCE N0: 1764 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AMENDING SECTION 2 -29 OF ARTICLE IV OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE TOWN CODE TO CHANGE THE TERM OF OFFICE FOR STUDENT PARK COMMISSIONERS SECTION 1 Section 2 -29 of the Town Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2.29. Appointment, terms of office and compensation of members. The park commission shall consist of nine members, all of whom shall reside within the town, and shall be appointed by the town council. The members shall serve without compensation, but all necessary expenses • incurred by them while acting in their official capacities shall be paid by appropriate action of the town council. Two members of the commission shall, at the time of their appointment, have completed the ninth grade, shall be students enrolled in an accredited school and shall be no more than eighteen years old. The commission shall, by resolution, adopt a procedure regulating the recruitment of applicants for the positions and the method by which it will choose those candidates recommended for appointment. The terms of office of the student members shall be one year, commencing November 1 and ending October 31; provided, that the present terms of office begun February 1, 1988 shall end January 31, 1989 and the next following terms shall commence February 1, 1989 and end October 31, 1989•
