RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AIVIENDING THE GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATION FROM LOW DENSITY
RESIDENTIAL, 0-5 DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE, 'TO
MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, 5-12 'DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE FOR
A PROPERTY AT 14561 WINCHESTER BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, Classic Communities, Inc., the project applicant, and Frances S. LaMar, Trustee
et al, the property owner of a parcel at 14561 Winchester Boulevard (Santa Clara County Assessor's
Parcel Number 409-20-006) and shown on the attached Exhibit A, have requested in conjunction
with a proposed rezoning application, that the Town of Los Gatos amend the General Plan to change
the land use designation for this property from Low Density Residential, 0-5 Dwelling Units Per
Acre, to Medium Density Residential, 5-12 Dwelling Units Per Acre; and
WHEREAS., the General Plan Committee recommended approval of the General Plan
Amendment and rezoning; .and
WHEREAS,. the Town Council has determined that the proposed General Plan amendment
is consistent with :the existing goals and policies of the General Plan and its corresponding elements;
and
WHEREAS the Town Council has :determined that the proposed General Plan amendment
will not cause any inconsistencies between the General Plan :and the Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS., the Proposed General Plan amendment has been submitted in conjunction with
a proposed rezoning request to change the zoning designation of the property from R-1:12 (Single
Family Residential) to R1VI:5-12:PD (Multiple Family Residential, 5-12 Dwelling Units Per
Acre/Planned Development) to allow for the construction of 20 new single family homes .and
rehabilitation of one existing .single family home.
RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, .State
of California, that the Town of Los Gatos amend the General Plan to change the land use designation
for this property as shown on Exhibit A from Low Density Residential, 0-5 Dwelling Units Per Acre,
to Medium IDensity'Residential, 5-12 Dwelling Units Per Acre.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, California, held on the 3`~ day of February, 2003 by the following vote:
