RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO ACCEPT $50,500 DONATION FROM
THE LOS GATOS POLICE FOUNDATION RECEIVED FROM PRIVATE
DONORS TO PURCHASE .AND TRAIN A GENERAL PURPOSE CANINE AND
THE EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO SUPPORT THE CANINE
WHEREAS, the Los Gatos Police Foundation .has donated funds to the
Police Department with which the Police Department wishes to purchase a general
purpose canine and equipment; and,
WHEREAS.: the .Police Department has specified the donated funds be used
to purchase the general purpose canine and equipment; and,
WHEREAS: the Police Department will receive $50,500 donation.from the
Los Gatos Police Foundation which will cover all cost of the general purpose canine
and the equipment needed to support the canine;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los.
Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, that the Town manager is authorized
to accept a donation from the Los Gatos Police Foundation for the purpose of
purchasing a general purpose canine and the equipment. needed to support the canine
for the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Department.

PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 4t" day of March, 2002 by the following
vote.:
