RESOLUTION 2001 - 33 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL <br />OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS <br />AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE A <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />TO PARTICIPATE IN A FEASIBILITY STUDY <br />OF THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD TRAIL <br />WHEREAS, there is interest among everal West Valley cities in developing the proposed <br />Union Pacific Railroad Trail for both recreational and commuting uses; and <br />WHEREAS, the West Valley cities desire to conduct a study to determine the feasibility of <br />such development with the City of Cupertino acting as lead agency to support the task force and <br />administer work associated with the .study; and <br />WHEREAS, the provisions, terms, and conditions of the aforementioned Memorandum of <br />Understanding have been reviewed and approved by the Town .Attorney and the Director of Parlcs <br />& Public Worlcs. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Los <br />Gatos approves .said Memorandum of Understanding and hereby authorizes and directs the Town <br />Manager to sign said Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the Town. <br />
