AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIG14ATED
"NORTHEAST NUMBER TEN ANNEXATION=
TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE T07IN OF LOS GATOS DOE'S ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS on the 20th day of March , 19 61, the Council
of the Town of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
---Town of Los Gatos, said territory being therein designated as
"Northeast Number Ten Annexation"
. and said
action
being
taken by the Council of said Town
as the legislative
body of
the
Town pursuant to a written petition therefore, said Resolution
describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to said Town; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of the
day, hour and place when and where the said Council of said Town
would hear protests made by any person owning real property with-
in the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing
being not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date
of the passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on the 1st day of May , 19 61 9
at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Los Gatos Council
Chambers in the Town Hall of the Town of Los Gatos, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, said time and place being the
day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution for hearing protests
to said annexation, the said Council of said Town did hear and
pass upon all protests made to said proposed annexation and slid
determine that no protests to said proposed annexation have been
made by or on behalf of the owners of one-half of the value of
the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the equalized
roll, nor by public and private owners of equal tea one-half of

the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by
said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the Town of
Los Gatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Santa
Clara, and all of the procedural requirements of the annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1039, particularly Government Code
Sections 35300 and 35314 inclusive have been fully complied with;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the Town of Los Gatos
does hereby approve the annexation of said territory, hereinafter
described, to the Town of Los Gatos and does hereby further ordain

that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the Town of Los
Gatos.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
Town of Los Gatos is hereby approved, is all that territory situate
in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:

Beginning at the Northeasterly corner of that certain parcel of
land as conveyed in the Deed from C.E. Reed and Nan Elizabeth Reed
to Gerald Richard Graham and Jane Reed Graham, recorded March 21,
1946, in Book 1329 of Official Records, at page 498, Santa Clara
County Records, said point of beginning being in the Town Limits of
the Town of Los Gatos;
Thence following the exterior boundaries of said Graham parcel
and the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos Southerly 143.50
feet, Westerly 108 feet, Northerly 203.41 feet to the point of
intersection with the Northerly line of Lot 7, of the Roberts
SubAivision, the Map of which was filed for record in the office of
the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, on
August 20, 1896, in Book I of Maps, at Page 41, records of said
County;
Thence, North-4westerly along the Northerly line of said Lot 7,
Roberts Subdivision and along the Town
Los Gatos to the point of intersection
line of that certain parcel of land as

Thence, following the various courses and distances of the
Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos Westerly and generally
IortherIy to the point of intersection with the Southerly line of
the"Walker Tract Subdivision" , which map was filed for record in
the Office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of
California, on June 12, 1895, in Book F of Maps, Page 40;
Thence, Easterly along the Southerly line of said Walker Tract
Subdivision to the point of intersection of said line with the
Northwesterly line of the "Elliot Subdivision", which map was filed
for record in the Office of the Recorder of the County of Santa
Clara, State of California, on August 4, 1926, in Book V of Maps,
Page 18;
Thence, following the exterior boundaries of said Elliot Sub-
division Northeasterly and Easterly to the point of intersection
with the Westerly line of the San Jose-Los Gatos Road, as the same
existed on July 1, 1956;
Thence, further Easterly along the Easterly prolongation of the
Northerly line of said Elliot Subdivision to the point of inter-
section of said line with the Easterly line of the said hereinbefore
mentioned San Jose-Los Gatos Road;
Thence, Southerly following the various courses and distances
of the Easterly line of said San Jose-Los Gatos Road to the point of
intersection of said line with the Easterly prolongation of the 4
Southerly line of Lot 15 of the hereinbefore mentioned Elliot
Subdivision;
Thence, Westerly along the Easterly prolongation of said
Southerly line of said Lot 15, Elliot Subdivision and further
Westerly along the Southerly line of said Lot 15, Elliot Subdivision
to the point of intersection of said line with the Easterly line of
"Tract. No. 391, Chirco Subdivisiont1 the Map of which was filed for
record in the office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara,
State of California, on November 24, 1947, in Book 15 of maps, page
12 and 13, records of said County;
Thence, Northerly along said Easterly line of said Tract No.
391 Chirco Subdivision to the point of intersection of said line
with the Southeasterly line of Sun Ray Drive, as the same now exists;
Thence, Southwesterly along the said Southeasterly line of said
Sun Ray Drive, as the same now exists, to the point of intersection
of said line with the Easterly line of Lands of the State of
California, known as highway 17; J'

Easterly line of said State yof California Highway 17 Southerly
to the point of intersection of said line with the Northerly line
of Farley Road, as the same now exists;
Thence, following the various courses and distances of the
Northerly line of said Farley Road, as the same now exists, to the
point of intersection of said line with the Northerly prolongation
of the Easterly line of that certain parcel of lend conveyed in
the Deed from Evelyn Hart Nelson Knight to Evelyn Hart Knight and
Thomas Pincney Knight recorded July 3, 1950, in Book 2008 of
Official Records, at page 298, Santa Clara County Records;

Easterly line of said Knight parcel and further Southerly along
said Easterly line of said Knight parcel to the Southeast corner
thereof ;
Thence, Westerly along the Southerly line of said Knight parcel
to the point of intersection of said line with the Westerly line
of "Tract No. 665, Harris Subdivision" the Map of which was filed
for record in the office of the recorder of the County of Santa
Clara, State of California, on June 7, 1950, in Book 28 of Maps,
Pages 32, 33 and 34, records of said County;
Thence, Southerly along said Westerly line of said Tract "No.
665, Harris Subdivision to the po±nt of intersection of said line
with the Northerly line of Parcel B as shown upon the Record of
Survey of Portions of Lot 7 of the McMillan Tract for C.L. Bergtold
the Map of which was filed for record in the office of the Recorder
of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, on June 5,
1958 in Book 94 of Maps, Page 8, records of said County;
Thence, Westerly along the Northerly line of said Parcel B
Record of Survey for C.L. Bergtold to the Northwest corner thereof,
said point being also the Northeast corner of Parcel A of said
Record of Survey for C.L. Bergtold;
Thence, following the exterior boundaries of said Parcel A.,
Record of Survey for C.L. Bergtold Westerly and Southerly to the
Southwest corner thereof;
Thence, Southerly along the Southerly prolongation of the
Westerly line of said Parcel A., Record of Survey for C.L. Bergtold
to the point of intersection of said line with the Northerly line
of the hereinbefore mentioned Lot 7 of the Roberts Subdivision,
said point being also a point in the Town Limits line of the Town
of Los Gatos;
Thence, Westerly along the Northerl;;.line of said Lot 7,
Roberts Subdivision and along the Town Limits line of the Town of
Los Gatos to the point of beginning.
