AN ORDINANCE APPROVING TFE. ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNIHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "CAMINO DEL
CERRO NUMBER ONE ANNEXATION" TO THE TOWN OF
LOS GATES.
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATES DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of July, 1958, the Council of the
Town of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution giving notice of
the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the Town of
Los Gatos, said territory being therein designated as "CAMINO DEL
CERRO NUMBER ONE ANNEXATION", and said action being taken by the
Council of said Town as the legislative body of the Town pursuant
to a written petition therefore, said Resolution describing the
boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to said
Town; and
WHEREAS., said Resolution did contain a notice of the day,
hour and place when and where the said ';ouncil of said Town would
hear protests made by any person owning real property within the
territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being
not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date of the
passage of said Resolution;. and
WHEREAS., on the 13th day of August, 1958, at the hour
of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Los Gatos Town Council Chambers in
the 'down Hall of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara,
State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and
place fixed in said Resolution for hearing protests to said
annexation, the said Council of said Town did hear and pass upon
all protests made to said proposed annexation and did determine
that no protests to said proposed annexation have been made by or
on behalf of the owners of one-half of the value of the territory
proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized roll, nor by
public and private owners of equal to one-half of the value of the
territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative
body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the Town of
Los Gatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Santa
Clara, and all of the procedural requirements of the annexation
of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, particularly Government
Code sections 35300 to 35314 inclusive have been fully complied
with;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the Town of Los
Gatos does hereby approve the annexation of said territory,
hereinafter described, to the Town of Los Gatos and does hereby
further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby annexed
to the Town of Los Gatos.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
Town of Los Gatos is hereby approved, is all that territory
situate in the County of Santa Clara, State-of'California, more
particularly described as follows: -

B-egir_n.ing at the point of intersection of the Northerly line
of Lot 7, as said Lot 7 is shown upon the Map of Tract No. 516,
Blossom Dell, which said Trap was filed for record in the office of
e Recorder of the Counter of Santa Clara, State of California, on
15, 1945 in Book 18 of Naps, at page 41, records of said County
with the Easterly line of Tract No. 1168 El Gato Terrace, the Nap of
which was filed for record in the office of the Recorder of the :Gounty
of Santa Clara, State of California on March 2, 1954. in Book 48 of
Maps, at page 13, records of said County; running thence along the
Easterly line of said Tract No. 1168 El Gato Terrace and the North-
erly prolongation of said Easterly line of Tract No. 1165 El Gato
Terrace, Northerly to the point of intersection thereof with the
Northerly line of the Los Gatos-Almaden Road; running thence along
the present Northerly line of the Los Gatos-Almaden Road, through
its various courses and distances Easterly to the point of inter-
section thereof with t'_se Westerly line of the proposed City of San
Jose Union /`5y-A Annexation; thence Southerly, Easterly and Northerly
following the exterior boundaries of said Union No. 5-k Annexation
to the pcint of intersection with the present Nlortherly line of the
Los Gatos-Almaden Road; thence Easterly following said Northerly
line of said Los Gatos--Almaden Road to the point of intersection with
the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos; thence fallowing
said Town Limits line Southerly, Easterly and Southeasterly to the
point of intersection thereof with the Easterly prolongation of the
Northerly line of said Lot 7 of Tract No. 516 Blossoms Dell; running
thence along the Easterly prolongation of the Northerly line of
said Lot 7 and along the Northerly line of said Lot 7. Westerly to
the point of beginning.
