the Tolvn Council of the Town of Los Gatos on the 8th da.y of
September, 1952, be, and the same is hereby, amended to read as
folio-ws:
"Section 1. I._"POSITION AND RATE OF TAX. For than -privilege
of selling tan` i ble rersonal rrop erty at retail P. tax is hereby
im-osed upon all retailers at the rate of one -,,-)er cent (l%) of
the gross rece`i-r.)ts of a.nyr retailer from the sale of all tangible
personal pro erty sold at retail in the Toi,,n of Los Geatos on or
after January 1, 1955. The license tax i--170osed by the provisions
of this ordinance is in a.dcition to any and all other taxes Lm-
