THE TCWI; COUNCIL OF THE T07,Td OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLO ,',`S :
Section 1. The Town of Los Gatos may in addition to the annual
tax levy for other municipal purposes, and at the same time,
and in the same manner, cause to be assessed and levied upon
t1rie taxable or o-oerty within the Town of Los uatos an annual
tax in an amount necessary and groper for -he acquisition and/or
ma i ntena.nce and./or improvement of its public parlrs.
Section 2. The To-vin Council must, at the second. meeting of the
Town Council in August of each year, determi ne whether or not
to cause to be assessed and levied upon the taxable property
within the Town of Los Gatos of an annual tax for the purposes
provided in Section'l of this ordinance, and if it determines
to cause to be assessed and levied upon, said taxable property
tr?ithin the Town' of Los Gatos of an annual tax for said purposes,
then the To-wn Council shall determine the amount and fix the
rate necessary and, proper for said purposes designating the nura-
ber of cents on each One Hundred Dollars (``100.00) of property
levied upon for said purposes, and must then cause to be assessed
and levied. a tax upon the taxable pro-erty trithin the Toi,trn of
Los Gatos for said purposes; PROVIDED HO ,EVER, that the levy for
said -purposes -provided in Section 1 of this ordinance for any
year shall not exceed Fifteen (15r,/) Cents on each One Hu nt."tre d
($100.00) Dollars of assessed value of all real and personal
property T,Tit--in the Town of Los Gatos.
Section 3. The revenue so obtained from said tax shall be
allocated to the public parlks fund and. shall not be applied-

to any use or purpose other than the acquisition and/or main-
tenance and/or improvement- of the public parks of the Town of
Los Gatos.
Section 4 This ordinance shall be published once in
.(J'J a newspaper of general
circulation printed and published in the Town of Los Gatos.
The above and foregoing ordinance teas duly and
regularly introduced at a regular meeting of the Town Council
of the Town of Los Gatos held on the 19th day of July, 1943,
and was thereafter on _ 9 the day of
