MAINTENANCE, SUPERVISION, REGULATION, AND CONTROL OF THE USE OF
PARKING METERS; DEFINING AND PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF
PARKING METER ZONES UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS AND HIGHZ!AYS AND PRO-
VIDING FOR THE PAYMENT THEREOF; REGULATING AND CONTROLLING AND
PROVIDING FOR THE INSPECTION OF THE PARKING OF VEHICLES THEREIN
BY THE USE OF PARKING METERS PRESCRIBING LIMITS OF TIME FOR
PARKING IN PARKING METER ZONES: PROVIDING FOR A TRAFFIC CONTROL
FUND AND PROVIDING THE PURPOSES FOR WHICH SAID FUND MAY BE USED;
PROVIDING FOR THE ENFORCEMENT HEREOF AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR
---THE VIOLATION THEREOF."
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 278 of the Town of Los Gatos entitled
Ilan ordinance relating to traffic and regulating the use of ?public
streets and "highways in the town of Los Gatos; prescribing regu-
lations relative to the parking of vehicles upon such public
streets and highways; providing for purchase, acquiring, instal-
lation, operation, maintenance, supervision, regulation, and
control of the use of parking meters; defining and providing for
the establishment of parking meter zones upon the public streets
and highways and providing for the payment thereof; regulating
and controlling and providing for the inspection of the parking
of vehicles therein by the use of parking meters prescribing
limits of time for parking in parking meter zones: -providing for
a traffic control fund and providing the purposes for which said
fund may be used; providing for the enforcement hereof and provia-
ing penalties for the violating thereof," is hereby repealed,
except that this repeal shall not affect or prevent the prosecu-
tion or punishment of any person for any act done or committed
in violation of said ordinance No. 278 prior to the taking effect
of this ordinance.

adopted at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos held on the o~I day of 1948, by the
