1985-021-Intention To Vacate Excess Portion Of A Public Thoroughfare- Assessor's Parcel Numbers 567-18-52 And 567-18-53 (16495 Harwood Road) For Public Road PurposesRESOLUTION NO. 1985 -21 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE EXCESS PORTION OF A PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE - ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBERS 567 -18 -52 AND 567 -18 -53 (15490 HAR1400D ROAD) FOR PUBLIC ROAD PURPOSES RESOLVED: 1. It is the intention of the Town Council to vacate, under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3 (Sections 8300 through 8331) of the Streets and Highways Code, a public road right -of -way situated in the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, consisting of a strip of land approximately 610 feet long and another strip of adjoining land 257 feet long which combined contains approximately 42,431 square feet located along the southerly side of Hyacinth Lane and the southerly prolongation of Begonia Drive, and more particularly described in Exhibit "A" (Description of Excess Portion of a Public Thoroughfare to be Abandoned [16490 Harwood Road] by the Town of Los Gatos), and Exhibit "B" (Plat to Accompany Description of Public Thoroughfare Abandonment), copies of which are attached hereto. Said Exhibits show the particulars as to the proposed abandonment, and are available for public inspection in the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos, California. 2. No public Utility Easements shall be retained over the area to be abandoned. 3. On March 18, 1985, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos, California, the Town Council will hold a public hearing to consider whether or not the easement is necessary for present or prospective public use. The meeting will begin at 7:30 P.M. A11 persons interested are invited to attend and be heard. 4. The Town Clerk is authorized, and is hereby directed to publish a copy of this resolution in the Los Gatos Times, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the Town of Los Gatos, within fifteen (15) days after the date of its adoption. 5, The Mayor of the Town of Los Gatos is authorized, and is hereby directed to execute that document entitled, "Notice of Abandonment of Excess Portion of a Public Thoroughfare ", a copy of which is attached hereto, and the Town Engineer is authorized, and is hereby directed to conspicuously post three (3) copies of said Notice, not more than 300 feet apart, on at least ten (10) days before the date of the public hearing above designated.
