A RESOLUTION COMMENDING
WALTER V. HAYS
WHEREAS, WALTER V. HAYS has served the Town of Los Gatos as the Town Attorney
from August, 1980, until October, 1983; and
WHEREAS, WALT provided during this period outstanding advice and counsel to
the Town Council, Town staff, the Town Planning Commission, and
other Town committees and commissions; and
WHEREAS, WALT's tenure with the Town of Los Gatos included work on such
major Town projects as the General Plan Review, the Downtown Plan
Review, the Rental Mediation Ordinance, the 1981 Mediterranean
Fruit Fly (MEDFLY) litigation, the franchise agreements and contracts
with Hearst Cablevision and Green Valley Disposal Company and the
litigation involving the construction of the Villa Vasona I and II
housing complexes, as well as the day -to -day problems in local govern-
ment which require the counsel of a competent attorney; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council feels that such outstanding public service deserves
recognition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Los Gatos Town Council does hereby
render, with genuine appreciation, its gratitude and commendation to WALTER
V. HAYS for his service to the Town as Town Attorney.

at a regular meeting held this 21st day of
February ; 1984, by the following vote:
