A RESOLUTION RESCINDING THE SAN BENITO AVENUE AND ANDREWS STREET
TRAFFIC DIVERTER PLAN AND IMPLEMENTING FURTHER TRAFFIC CONTROL MEASURES
BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
(1) Resolution No. 1982 -190, adopted by the Town Council October 25,
1982 is hereby rescinded.
(2) Pursuant to the Los Gatos Town Code, Section 16 -29, "Stop
Intersections and Through Streets ", the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos does hereby:
Re- establish a four -way vehicular stop at the following
intersections:
a, Andrews Street and San Benito Avenue.
b. Andrews Street and Monterey Avenue.
(3) Town staff is hereby directed to install temporary street
closures ono
a. San Benito Avenue north of Saratoga Avenue.
b. San Benito Avenue south of Thurston Street.
Planter boxes salvaged from the San Benito /Andrews traffic
diverter project shall be used in effecting the street closure.
Traffic control signing and /or pavement markings shall be located
in conformance with State standards.
(4) On April 16, 1984, at the meeting of the Town Council beginning
at 7.30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 110 East Hain
Street, Los Gatos, California, a public hearing will be held during which
the Town Council will hear testimony regarding traffic control measures
for streets in the vicinity of San Benito Avenue and Andrews Street.
The Director of Parks, Forestry and Maintenance Services is hereby
instructed to install the appropriate signs and /or pavement markings
giving notice of the public of this action.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a reqular meeting of the Town Council of
the Town of Los Gatos held on 17th day of January ,
1984 by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS Joanne Benjamin, Eric D. Carlson,
Terrence J. Daily, Brent N. Ventura and Mayor Thomas
J. Ferrito
