We thought we would be here forever. We are 75 and 76 years old and I'm having surgery in April. We are hoping that you will give us as much notice as possible as to when we will need to be out of our home. We need time to find something we can afford without having to move away from our family. We are at a time in our lives where we will need to start relying on our family more and more often. After 25 years of accumulation, we will need more time than your average apartment dweller. Please keep us updated as much as possible. We don't want to leave sooner than we have to as it's our home and we love it here. I think we all need to really "see" what will be there. We also think we should advocate for lovely restaurants and fun nightlife - walking distance!! Personally, if we end up with a big box store like a Costco or something, traffic will be large issue on not only LG Blvd but on Lark - even more than it is now!! We are a home in close proximity to the North 40. Homeowners and all other developers in town are required to use the traditional story pole method for a very good reason, it truly illustrates the extent of the new building that will occupy the space. Requesting an exception suggests developers do not want interested parties (stakeholders) to observe the breadth/width/height of the proposed project. As a local stakeholder, I believe we should be able to easily view the mass and scale of the project as should town planners and other stakeholders.
