MEETING DATE: 04/21/15 <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />°S sa�os COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />DATE: APRIL 16, 2015 <br />TO: <br />MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL <br />FROM: <br />-Y-ES WHITE, INTERIM TOWN MANAGER <br />SUBJECT: APPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, AND COMMITTEES <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Conduct appointment process for Arts and Culture Commission, Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory <br />Commission, VTA - Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee Town Representative, Community and <br />Senior Services Commission, Parks Commission, Personnel Board, and Planned Development <br />Zoning Study Committee. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />On April 21, 2015, prior to the Town Council Meeting, Council interviewed applicants for vacant <br />Board, Commission, and Committee positions (Attachment 1). Applications were received for open <br />positions on all but the Parks Commission. Two individuals applied to two different appointment <br />opportunities (Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission and VTA - Bicycle and Pedestrian <br />Committee Town Representative). Applicants for the Planned Development Zoning Study <br />Committee self - identified which positions they were seeking on the Committee. The Council may <br />review the applications and find that one or more residents may qualify for the business experience <br />position as well. <br />Upon completion of the appointment process, Council may direct the Clerk Administrator to re- <br />advertise any vacant Board, Commission, and/or Committee positions. <br />The next scheduled recruitment for these Boards, Commissions, and Committees is set for <br />September 2015 with interviews to be held December 15, 2015.
