Attachment 10Jennifer Savage To: Planning Subject: RE: St. Mary's School Planned Expansion Prom: Chris Potter [mailto:cspotter5@hotmail.com] Sent: Wednesday, March 13, 2013 5:13 PM To: Planning Subject: RE: St. Mary's School Planned Expansion Dear Planning Commission: As a 17 -year homeowner on Tait Ave directly across from the subject project, I am writing to express my concern about to the planned expansion of St. Mary's Church and School (SM) with the addition of a two story classroom in existing parking areas: Concern: SM will lose convenient parking places for the new building that will encourage visitors and families to park on Tait Ave instead. I see this happen already when parishioners are late for Masses and do not want to take the time to seek a place in the SM lots. Remedy: Make SM prove that they will provide replacement parking spaces on their own property and that they will post permanent new signs on Tait Ave reminding everyone to park in these private spaces first before the street space is filled. Concern: Much new traffic on streets all around SM during AM and PM student drops Remedy: Secure a commitment to SM providing private traffic directors on Tait, Bean, and W. Main St. during all AM and PM student drops Concern: Contractor construction vehicle parking on streets all around SM during building of the new classrooms Remedy: Prohibit all SM contractor construction vehicle parking on on streets all around SM during building of the new classrooms and parking police the area as often as possible during the days Thank you - Chris Potter, 33 Tait Ave ATTACHMENT 1 0 This Page Intentionally Left Blank
