SUBJECT: APPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, AND COMMITTEES
RECOMMENDATION:
Conduct an appointment process for the Community and Senior Services Commission and the
Library Board
DISCUSSION:
On December 10, 2012, Council interviewed applicants for vacant board, commission, and
committee positions. However, two applicants, Bido Baines and Renee Munshi, were not able to
attend the interviews. Council re- scheduled their interviews to January 22, 2013. Attached is a
list of the advisory bodies, the number of vacancies, and the applicants' names. Following the
interviews, Council may appoint applicants to the vacant positions.
CONCLUSION:
It is recommended that Council appoint applicants to fill vacant Town board, commission, and
committee positions and direct the Clerk Administrator to re- advertise any unfilled positions.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with the recommended action.
