ORDINANCE NO: 1723 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 16 OF THE TOWN CODE <br />RELATING TO DESIGNATION OF HOLIDAYS FOR THE <br />PURPOSE OF TIME -LIMIT PARKING <br />The Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos hereby ordains: <br />SECTION 1. <br />Section 16 -1 of the Town Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Sec, 16 -1. Definitions, <br />For the purpose of this chapter, the <br />following words and phrases shall have the <br />meanings respectively ascribed to them by this <br />section: <br />General. Whenever any words or phrases <br />used in this chapter are not defined herein, <br />but are defined in the Vehicle Code of the <br />state, such definitions are incorporated <br />herein and shall be deemed to apply to such <br />words and phrases used herein as though set <br />forth herein in full. <br />Bicycle. Every device propelled by <br />human power upon which any person may ride, <br />having two tandem wheels either of which is <br />over twenty inches in diameter, including any <br />device generally recognized as a bicycle <br />though equipped with 'two front or two rear <br />wheels. <br />Business district, Any portion of any <br />street between adjacent cross streets, fifty <br />percent of which is occupied by buildings in <br />use for retail or wholesale business, and any <br />intersection adjacent to such business street <br />or any intersection, two or more of the <br />corners of which are so occupied. <br />Crosswalk. That portion of the roadway <br />included within the prolongation of curb and <br />property lines at street intersections. <br />Curb, The lateral physical boundary of <br />the roadway of a street, whether marked by <br />curbing construction or not so marked. <br />Driveway. That portion of a street <br />between a curb line and adjacent property line <br />designed to give vehicular access to the <br />adjacent property and so constructed as to <br />support the weight of any motor vehicle. <br />
